Ernest Smith is a native of Rome, Georgia and holds a BBA from the University of Georgia.  He has been in the financial services business for almost 38 years, working with Farm Credit Services as branch manager from 1970 – 1985; with Georgia State Bank from 1985-1992 as Vice President/Bank Officer in charge of Marketing and Personnel; with Royal Alliance as a Financial Advisor from 1992 to 2001 and with Raymond James Financial Services from 2001 to 2007.  He currently is a Board Member of the Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau and served as a Rome City Commissioner from 1992-2000.  Ernie holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 and is licensed to sell Life, Health, Variable Products and P&C insurance.
